Lori Ajax
Lori became the Executive Director of the California Craft Brewers Association in January 2021. Before this, she served as the Chief of the Bureau of Cannabis Control (Bureau), the primary agency responsible for regulating commercial cannabis in California. She held this position since the Bureau was established in 2016. During her time there, Ajax played a key role in developing and implementing California’s regulatory framework for medical and adult-use commercial cannabis businesses. She also led efforts to promote social equity in the state’s cannabis industry, including establishing the Equity-Local Liaison Unit to assist social equity applicants and licensees. Additionally, Ajax was in charge of distributing $25 million in equity grant funding to local jurisdictions to help individuals impacted by the criminalization of cannabis. Before working at the Bureau, Ajax spent 22 years at the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, where she advanced from an investigator to the position of Chief Deputy Director. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento.

Daniela Dejeu
Daniela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from California State University, Sacramento, and comes with a unique association management background. Her experience includes working in an association management firm, where she developed expertise and deepened her understanding of non-profits across various industries. Her key responsibilities included membership management, overseeing job boards and magazine publications, event planning, sponsor and exhibitor relations, and more. Daniela’s diverse background in business and association management has equipped her with a versatile skill set, enabling her to drive organizational growth and foster strong stakeholder engagement.

Kerri Marotta
Kerri, originally from Wisconsin, has a deep passion for craft beer. Her love for the industry began early in her career and has only grown stronger since she joined the California Craft Brewers Association. With a Cicerone Certification under her belt, Kerri has gained valuable experience in the craft beer industry by working at some of the best breweries and craft beer bars in the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from California State University, Sacramento. Kerri’s dedication to promoting and celebrating the world of craft beer is evident in her work and her unwavering enthusiasm for the industry. In her free time, you can find her running, exploring new breweries, and going on outdoor adventures with her husband Chris, and daughters Jeannie and Penny.
