2015 Attendee / Event FAQ

Is this event open to the public?

YES! This event is for craft beer drinkers, enthusiasts, home brewers, industry members, brewers, restaurant managers, hospitality staff, bartenders – basically anyone & everyone who loves drinking craft beer, making their own beer, works in the industry, or wants to start working in the industry! There is something for EVERYONE during the Summit weekend.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

This is a 21 and over event. You must be 21+ years old with a valid photo ID to attend, no exceptions. No children, infants, toddlers will be allowed into the event.

What are the hours of the event?

Friday, September 11, 2015 | Sacramento Convention Center
9:00am – 2:15pm Educational Sessions
12:00pm – 5:30pm Summit Expo Hall Open

1:00pm – 5:00pm Tap Talks, Masters Demos, Interactive Displays and Beer Tastings

4:30pm – 5:30pm Hoppy Hour on the Summit Expo Hall

5:30pm – 7:30pm Brewers Reception (invite only)

Where are the entrances?

For all events at the Sacramento Convention Center, registration will be located at Exhibit Hall B
For the Showcase Beer Festival- Main Entrance Gates are on 7th and Capitol Mall and a side entrance on 5th street & Capitol Mall.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking Information near the Sacramento Convention Center can be found here
On Saturday Sept. 12th Parking will be discounted at the 10th and L St. Parking Garage- $5 flat rate

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You must have a printed copy of your ticket or your ticket barcode (easily viewable) on your smartphone.

I’m from out of town, where should I stay?

Hotel room blocks can be viewed here.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:


  • Outside alcohol
  • 
Bottles
  • Cans
  • Outside food/beverages
  • Weapons (i.e. knives, pepper spray, stun-guns, any concealed weapons, firearms, etc.)
  • 
Illegal drugs
  • Chemicals
  • 
Fireworks, smoke bombs, etc.
  • 
Unapproved pamphlets, handouts, advertisements, etc.
  • 
Other items as determined by facility management

Event management reserves the right to handle each occurrence on a case by case basis. Depending on the item, the guest may either be asked to remove the item from the facility or dispose of the item, or may be ejected from the facility.

What is the refund policy?

Refund Policy for Summit Hall Tickets: No refunds, or exchanges.

Intoxicated Guests

All guests of the California Craft Beer Summit and Showcase are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe, responsible means of transportation before leaving the event.

Any guest who is intoxicated before entering the event may be denied entry to the event.

Any guest found intoxicated within the event and/or causing a disturbance, as determined by management, will be asked to leave the facility without refund and may be subject to further consequences.
