Why Patrick Rue Attends the Summit and You Should Too!
Still considering whether you should travel to Sacramento for the 2017 California Craft beer Summit? In addition to checking out the seminars, or the roster of exhibitors, there is a huge benefit to bringing the entire industry together in one place – at the California state Capitol!
Over the next few weeks the CCBA will be sharing some of your industry peer’s top reasons YOU should attend the Summit. Today we hear from the founder of The Bruery, Patrick Rue:
CCBA: Tell us a little about why you think the brewing industry should attend the California Craft Beer Summit…
Patrick: The California Craft Beer Summit is a gathering of the state’s best brewers, suppliers, and avid craft beer fans. It’s a unique setting to catch up with brewing friends, make new supplier connections, meet your fans, gain new knowledge, and drink some beer. All in one place!
CCBA: What are you looking forward to at this year’s Summit?
Patrick: I’m looking forward to having Charlie Papazian at the Summit. He’s made such an impact and has a great perspective on the craft beer industry. I’m also looking forward to the beer festival so many breweries and beers I haven’t had the opportunity to try!
CCBA: What is your favorite memory from last year’s Summit?
Patrick: Hearing Fritz Maytag’s point of view on how the industry has developed since he retired, and his war stories. He’s a hero of this industry.
CCBA: Any special beers you plan to bring to the 2017 Summit?
Patrick: Of course! But I don’t think we’ve figured that out yet. Let me know if there’s anything you want me to bring!
