Anna Schulze is a multi-faceted songwriter, artist, and producer.
A Minnesota native, Schulze began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 9. She moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to study songwriting performance at the University of Southern California where she worked with mentor and Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter, Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Michael Jackson, Katy Perry).
At 27, she has 5 solo releases, and her songs have been featured in the Oscar-winning documentary Icarus, ABC’s Station 19, Proven Innocent on FOX, MTV, CBS, and more.
Her latest solo release Pickford Market was coined by No Depression Journal as, “genuine, dynamic, and insightful” and was featured in BuzzBands LA’s Favorite 101 Songs of 2016. Schulze has also appeared on Morning Edition and The Current and has opened for the Beach Boys.
Schulze joined forces with artist and songwriter-producer, Maia Sharp (Dixie Chicks, Trisha Yearwood, Bonnie Raitt) in 2017 to form their duo project “Roscoe & Etta”. Sharp and Schulze wrote, produced, and mixed their debut album Roscoe & Etta (2018). Its first single “Broken Headlights” went Top Ten at Triple A radio. The duo has opened for Dispatch, Mt Joy, Wood Brothers, Mondo Cosmo, Anderson East, Scars on 45 and more. Their follow up EP, Blessings, Curses, Anchors and Wings is scheduled for an August, 2019 release.
When she isn’t touring with Roscoe & Etta, Schulze continues to write and produce for her own projects and other artists in Los Angeles and Nashville.
