Esther Mobley joined the San Francisco Chronicle in 2015 as its wine, beer and spirits writer. Previously she was an assistant editor at Wine Spectator magazine, and before that an intern at Wine Enthusiast magazine. She’s worked harvests at wineries in Napa and Mendoza, Argentina, and studied English literature at Smith College. When she’s not drinking wine, she’s drinking beer.
