Michael Peacock

Draught Systems instructor at SDSU Business of Craft Beer

Michael is a Southern California native and has lived in San Diego since 1989. His and his wife have raised 2 beautiful children that are also in the craft beer industry. Michael has worked in the foodservice/beverage industry for over 35 years. He has worked for industry

leaders such as The Coca-Cola Company, U.S. Foodservice, NuCO2 and Glacier Design Systems. His beverage experience includes dispensing system design, operations, R & D, distribution, quality assurance, marketing and sales. In 2009, his focus shifted to beer; specifically draught beer systems with an emphasis on quality and waste reduction. In addition to consulting with several local breweries and retailers, he also works as a sales representative for a San Diego based beer distributor, Brown Bag Beverage.

He is currently a graduate and instructor in the San Diego State University College of Extended Studies program, The Business of Craft Beer. He teaches a class entitled Draught Systems. His curriculum follows the guidelines for quality as set by the Brewer’s Association.
