Whao Boy! Oysters and dark beer at Iron Springs
On Thursday, March 18th, Iron Springs Pub & Brewery continues its search for ideal pairings of locally produced foods with its handcrafted ales with the “Oyster & Dark Beer Trifecta.”
Featuring three varieties of oysters from the West coast, paired with a Cask of Sless’ Oatmeal Stout (voted the world’s best Oatmeal Stout at the 2008 World Beer Cup), Nitrogen Sless’ Oatmeal Stout, & Nitrogen Fairfax Coffee Porter, the Trifecta explores the nuances that come through when pouring these beers three different ways: on nitro, cask, and draft.
“What better way to sample some of our area’s finest oyster selection than by pairing them up with some of the finest award winning dark beers?” says Altman. “Last year’s event was so successful we decided to create an annual event out of these two epicurean delights-oysters & dark beer”
