CCBA’s Craft Brewers’ Day at the Capitol

CCBA hosted its first Craft Brewers’ Day at the Capitol on March 13, a day-long series of individual meetings between brewers and their elected officials at the State Capitol to discuss legislation that could significantly impact the brewing community.

The Craft Brewers’ Day at the Capitol included in-person meetings with more than 40 legislators, specifically legislators who are preparing to make key decisions on alcohol beverage legislation. Face-to-face conversations between elected officials and the brewery owners in their district help support the valuable work of the CCBA at the state Capitol. Brewery owners from across California were able to engage in conversations regarding the growth of the craft brewing industry, its impact on local economies and job growth and the importance of tied-house laws for the continued viability of the craft beer industry.

CCBA’s advocacy on behalf of the craft brewing industry is supported by the grassroots network of 900+ craft breweries operating across California If you would like to get engaged with CCBA’s Legislative Advocacy programs, please consider hosting your local legislators at your brewery.
