Closing Event for SF Beer Week, Celebrator Beer Festival, held on February 17 at Trumer Brewery in Berkeley

February 13, 2018 (San Francisco, CA) — The annual closing event for San Francisco Beer Week, the Celebrator Beer News’ Anniversary Beer Festival, celebrates 30 years of the publication – a huge milestone for beer lovers in the bay area and surrounding regions.

Celebrator Beer News was launched in 1988 with regional distribution to a small number of taprooms and beer bars in the city. Today, with more than 161 breweries in the greater Bay Area and 910 breweries across California, Celebrator Beer News continues to expand its distribution worldwide and fill its pages with content that celebrates unique, innovative and creative brewers that make up the vibrant craft industry in California.

As the closing event of SF Beer Week, Celebrator Beer News’ 30th Anniversary Beer Festival is held at Trumer Brewery in Berkeley, Calif, from 4-8 p.m. and includes unlimited beer tastings from 30 breweries, a commemorative glass, a full meal and exclusive experiences!

“Celebrator Beer News’ Anniversary Party is the annual gathering for the craft beer industry and beer lovers from around Northern California,” said Tom McCormick, executive director of the California Craft Brewers Association (CCBA).  “It truly is a one-of-a-kind event for SF Beer Week. It provides all of us the chance to relax with friends, drink some incredible beers and spend time celebrating the vibrancy of this amazing industry. Celebrator Beer News began as a quarter-fold tabloid “Brewspaper” in January, 1988. It was the first publication in the country to focus exclusively on “microbrewed,” or what we now call “craft,” beer. Its original focus was on the craft beers and breweries of California but its circulation expanded to the Pacific Northwest and then to the Rocky Mountains and beyond. Today, the Celebrator’s 55,000 print run is distributed worldwide. Our 50+page bimonthly color magazine can be found at breweries, brewpubs, select pubs, alehouses and restaurants, prime retail accounts, homebrew supply shops, beer festivals, and other beer-related outlets.

The Trumer Brewery was established in 2004 in Berkeley, California and is a sister brewery to the centuries-old Trumer Brauerei in Salzburg, Austria. Trumer Pils has been refined and perfected since 1601 but is celebrated as a local craft pilsner allowing beer drinkers in the US to enjoy the beer the way it was meant to be: fresh. This hand-crafted pilsner remains true to style and focuses on four main ingredients: water, malt, yeast and hops. Trumer Pils’ quality has been recognized by being awarded eleven Gold Medal wins over the past fourteen years at the most prestigious beer competitions in the world and has made Trumer the most awarded craft pilsner in the US. Trumer Pils stands in a class of its own. For more information, please visit www.trumer-international.com or follow along at @trumerpilsusa on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
