At the Summit: Coffee and Beer Collaborations

The lines are blurred between craft coffee and craft beer when it comes to the GABF, World Beer Cup and locally recognized collaboration, Mocha Machine. A natural next step in the evolution of foodie culture in California, Beachwood BBQ and Brewing and Portola Coffee Roasters joined forces to create a collaboration focused on highlighting well-made ingredients.  The creative forces behind both companies will be joining us at the California Craft Beer Summit to discuss the flavors of roasted coffee, the combination of art and science that go into the brewing and how to craft an award winning collaboration.

The hands on presentation on September 10, 2016 at 9:00am will include a guide through the flavor profile of roasted coffee, tastings of the final coffee roast  used as a key ingredient in Mocha Machine and a few of the master’s secrets about brewing, tasting and experimenting between the world of craft coffee and craft beer.

Come for the coffee, stay for the beer.
