After hearing his favorite beer might disappear, Fritz Maytag stepped in to save Anchor Brewery in San Francisco and sparked a revolution. By reviving traditional styles and brewing with flavor and authenticity, he paved the way for the modern craft beer movement. Anchor Brewery became the first craft brewery to open since the end of prohibition.
