Why Tomme Arthur Attends the Summit and You Should Too!

Still considering whether you should travel to Sacramento for the 2017 California Craft beer Summit? In addition to checking out the seminars, or the roster of exhibitors, there is a huge benefit to bringing the entire industry together in one place – at the California state Capitol!

Over the next few weeks the CCBA will be sharing some of your industry peer’s top reasons YOU should attend the Summit. Today we hear from the owner/founder of Lost Abbey/Port Brewing, Tomme Arthur:

CCBA: Tell us a little about why you think the brewing industry should attend the California Craft Beer Summit…

Tomme: As a brewery owner, I can tell you some of the best networking opportunities are found at events like the California Craft Beer Summit. Bringing together a cross section of small, medium and large California breweries presents a unique opportunity to showcase our beers and brewing talents while having an awesome time being in the midst of some of the very best beers on the planet.  Few weekends give us access to consumers, friends and industry peeps in such a way.

CCBA: What are you looking forward to at this year’s Summit?

Tomme: I would say just growing the California Craft Beer Brand.  We are fortunate to be in a state with over 800 breweries and the talent that calls California home is incredible.  Sharing this with more and more consumers seems awesome.

CCBA: What is your favorite memory from last year’s Summit?

Tomme: I was asked to be a presenter on stage with Vinnie and Natalie from Russian River last year.  We’re great friends and the enthusiasm we all share for Craft Brewing was evident.  It was an amazing opportunity to reminisce for sure.

CCBA: Any special beers you plan to bring to the 2017 Summit?

Tomme: Perhaps… It’s a little early the year to know what might be tasting best come September.  But we’re never shy about trying to bring out WOW beers for our fans.
