CALIFORNIA BREWERIES RECEIVE 79 MEDALS AT 2022 GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL, MORE THAN ANY OTHER STATE

The Great American Beer Festival celebrated it’s 40th anniversary this year. Back in person for the first time since the Pandemic, this year’s awards ceremony took place at the Bellco Theatre in Denver on Saturday, October 8th. A total of 235 judges evaluated 9,904 entries from 2,154 breweries from all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. The Brewers Association awarded 300 medals to 268 breweries across the country during the 2022 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) awards ceremony in the largest competition to date.

California took home the most impressive haul with a total of 79 medals awarded.
