CCBA AND TRUMER BREWERY HOST FIRST CELEBRATION OF CRAFT FESTIVAL TO CLOSE SF BEER WEEK

On Saturday, February 9, 31 breweries and nearly 800 craft beer enthusiasts joined the California Craft Brewers Association at Trumer Brewery in Berkeley for the Celebration of Craft – the closing event of San Francisco Beer Week.

The festivities started at 4pm with eager beer fans lined up around the block, ready to step out of the rain and head inside to grab a taste of all the great beer the annual event brings together from across the state. All 31 California craft breweries poured some of their most limited beers and SF Beer Week special releases.

As the evening progressed, attendees enjoyed pizza from Bay Area favorite Little Star Pizza, while making their rounds and enjoying the company of new and old craft beer friends. Tom McCormick of the CCBA, along with Lars Larson of Trumer Brewery and Jay Brooks of Brooks Beer Blog wound down the evening by delivering a toast to the crowd, in a true celebration of California craft beer and its community.

“This event is a wonderful gathering of beer lovers and beer makers,” said Leia Bailey, managing director of the CCBA. “There is nothing better than celebrating the art, science and innovation that is poured into this community of craft brewers.”

The Celebration of Craft is a continuation of the previously held Celebrator Beer News Festival and is proud to continue its legacy of pouring some of the finest craft beers that California has to offer in celebration of San Francisco Beer Week.

If you weren’t able to make this years Celebration of Craft, we missed you in attendance and mark your calendar for the event next year on the last Saturday of San Francisco Beer Week.
